Hoist manufacturer and supplier Anka Hoist showed its new material hoist, the SC28AN, at ConExpo, as well as a material and passenger hoist.

Anka, which has locations in Alberta, British Columbia, California, Nevada and Texas, manufacturers its products in Shenzhen, China.

The crane hoist SC28AN was made to compliment cranes on jobsites, Anka's William Cameron said. The unit features a payload capacity of 617 pounds and is operated from the ground. The hoist can be loaded from both sides and has the ability to run individual passenger and material hoists on one mast.

Anka's material hoists can be customized to hold from 200 pounds to 8,800 pounds, after which, Anka can customize any customer requirements or requests. The SCE400GZ hoist is a single cage unit.

All of Anka's electrical and control components are made in Germany, as well as the hoist's motors. "We don't compromise on quality," Cameron said.

Cameron said the company has a quick turnaround; typically new units will arrive in North America within 60 days of ordering.
