Access Platform Sales (APS) is the first UK company to place orders for the Genie Z-33/18 compact electric boom and Genie Z-62/40 boom.

The Z-33 is an all-electric lightweight self propelled articulated boom with 12 m maximum working height and 4.3 m of up and over clearance. With minimal tail swing, a tight turning radius and capable of passing through standard double doors, it is designed for working indoors or outside.

The new Z-62 articulating boom replaces the Genie Z-60/34. Working height increases from 20.4 m to 20.9 m and maximum horizontal outreach extends to 12.5 m compared to 11.0m on the Z-60. Up-and-over clearance remains 7.8 m with a maximum lift capacity of 227kg.

Genie launched both products at APEX 2014 in Amsterdam in June.

These latest orders are part of a growing commitment by APS to the Genie brand. APS has a longstanding relationship with Genie, having marketed its aluminium material and personnel lifts in the UK for many years. In 2014, APS has stepped up its investment in new Genie self-propelled scissors and booms.

IPS is Genie’s authorised UK parts distributor; and PSR is the Genie authorised service provider and operates 23 mobile service engineers covering the entire UK.
