A new AB 12/S bucket type underbridge inspection unit from Barin is operating in India.

Bangalore’s Planning & Road Asset Management Centre (Pramc) and the Public Works, Ports & Inland Water Transport Department (PWP&IWTD) chose the Barin model mounted on a 3-axle Volvo FM330 Hp 6x2 rigid truck chassis.

As with all in Barin’s range, the AB 12/S uses one lane of the highway in transport position and in work configuration.

Features of the machine included a bridge barrier clearance of 3.5m, a sidewalk clearance of 3m, horizontal outreach underbridge of 12m and a vertical depth underbridge of 16.5m. maximum overhead outreach is 15.2m, while bucket capacity 280 kg and GVW is 16 tonnes.
