The vessel will have Finnish Swedish 1A ice class notation for use in the Arctic and deadweight of 21,000 tonnes. Deck space will be 42 by 125 m.

BigRoll Barentsz is due to be delivered in 2015. A sister vessel, BigRoll Bering will follow in October 2015.
