Crane rental company BKL Baukran Logistik has assembled a Liebherr LH 630 EC-H 40 Litronic tower crane to help with the construction of a hotel and spa complex in the Wettersteinkamm Mountains, Germany.

BKL used a 300 tonne Grove GMK6300L all terrain and a 40 tonne auxiliary mobile crane. The LH 630 EC-H 40 Litronic tower crane was erected near Elmau Castle in Upper Bavaria at an altitude of approximately 1,000 metres. The assembly process took three days to complete.

Work for the tower crane will include lifting precast components weighing up to 20 tonnes over a distance of almost 50 meters, a company spokesperson said. In addition to these lifts, the crane will erect a Liebherr 140 EC-H at the site.
