CDE cuts the cake as numbers add up

16 March 2017

Materials processing specialist CDE Global marked this year’s Conexpo with a special celebration after reaching the twin milestones of being in business for 25 years and operational in 90 countries.

Executive chairman Tony Convery was on hand to cut a cake made to honour the occasion at the Las Vegas construction exhibition and thank everyone involved in the company in the past quarter of a century.

The company – which includes construction and demolition waste, sand and aggregates among the materials it regularly comes into contact with – has its US base in Cary, North Carolina.

However, its headquarters are in Northern Ireland and CDE put on a themed Irish night for dealers and customers, including traditional dance and generous servings of the national tipple Guinness.

Earlier this year, CDE announced it was investing £10 million (US$12 million) to revamp its premises at Cookstown, 53 km (33 miles) west of Belfast, creating more than 100 jobs in the process.
