Costello Dismantling has ordered the first Volvo EC460C HR high reach in the USA

Volvo's mid-sized high reach, the EC460C HR, will make its debut in the North American demolition industry with the name Costello Dismantling on its boom.

Having seen the machine at work in Europe, where it has been available for over a year, company president Dan Costello took the decision to add one to his fleet with ease. According to Dan, Volvo's 360 high reach was too small and the 700 was too large, and when he approached Volvo about a 460 with a 30 m (100 ft) boom, he discovered the machine was already in preparation.

He continued that because of "terrific dealer support for my existing Volvo machines, I did not really look at any other brand." The machine was not ordered for a specific job but because of the nature of a lot of his company's work that involves the demolition of four to six storey buildings.
