A range of cranes is dominating the outdoor area at the Intermat Middle East exhibition in Abu Dhabi. Among the big names are Liebherr, Manitowoc and IHI.

This year's event is being held between October 8 and 10 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The event's standing has been boosted by the fact that this year’s event is being held under the Patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the UAE Federal Minister of Public Works.

This is the second Intermat Middle East exhibition and initial feeback at the show suggests that the event has succeeded in attracting more exhibitors and visitors than the inaugural event held last year. Official visitors figures are not yet available but initial reactions from exhibitors seemed to suggest that they are happy with the quality of visitor to the event.

The show attracted a good range of international and regional exhibitors. There were stand groups from Germany, The Netherlands, Italy, Finland, and the UK plus companies from many other countries.
