Crawler and truck cranes new from Terex

Terex launched a 36 tonne capacity truck crane and a 55 tonne capacity lattice boom crawler crane at the Bauma China show in Shanghai 27 to 30 November.
The 36 tonne capacity Toplift 036G truck crane, built in Luzhou by Terex China, has a 38 metre five-section telescopic boom. A 51 m maximum tip height is achieved with a 14 m jib swingaway jib with 1- and 30-degree offsets.
“The Toplift 036G follows the two award winning models introduced last year. They are true Terex cranes that share more common features and styling details than ever before,” said Ken Lousberg, Terex China president. “The new crane incorporates design elements (or features) based on extensive customer and dealer feedback. They blend Chang Jiang’s legacy for strength and lift performance with the latest Terex innovations.”
New driving and operator cab designs like on Terex all terrain cranes offer more space and increase operator comfort and efficiency, Terex said. Maximum travel speed of 75 km/h reduces transport time to and from the jobsite. Single or dual winches are available.
The new crawler crane is the 55 tonne Powerlift 1000 aimed at lifting contractors in China, Russia and India. “Built in our Jinan, China facility, the crane offers the most compact design in its class for fast and efficient transport without sacrificing lift or reach capabilities. This is just one example of how Terex Crane’s global presence and wealth of applications experience delivers value and competitive advantages for our customers,” said Ken Lousberg.
The Powerlift 1000 has a maximum load moment of 203.5 tonne-metres and offers the highest capacity performance throughout its entire work range among its capacity class, Terex said. The main boom can be up to 55 m and maximum system length is 61 m. Fixed jibs are available from 6 to 15 m with 10 and 30 degree offsets. “Our new Powerlift 1000 offers the longest main boom and fixed jib reach among competitive cranes,” said Lousberg.
At 3 m wide, Terex said the Powerlift 1000 is the most compact crawler crane in its class, with a 10% narrower structure than its closest competitor. It fits through China’s narrow tollways, saving transport time and money.
Power is from a 155 kW six-cylinder diesel engine that meets China’s national III emissions standards. Walkways with handrails and antiskid plates and a roof guard increase operator safety.
