At CTE's recent open days which targeted its Italian home market and its German customers CTE's president, Lorenzo Cipriani said that the event had been extremely important not only in demonstrating the company's products but in consolidating relationships.

The first day of the event was dedicated to Italian customers who were able to attend a seminar on regulations given by the Italian Ministry of Employment concerning periodic inspections.

German customers and CTE's German dealer, Hematec, visited to Green Car at Ponti sul Mincio which is CTE's subcontracted paint shop. Green car specialises in industrial powder coating and wet painting, and was able to demonstrate all the phases of the coating process directly on CTE machines ZED and Tracccess.

During the open day, held at CTE's Sequani factory in Rivoli Veronese customers were able to see demonstrations of the truck-mounted B-Lift 20.13 Multipurpose truck mount, the ZED 20 CH truck mount, the Traccess 170 E spider and the B-Lift 510 truck mount.

The B-Lift 20.13 Multipurpose, which was the winner of Access International's IAPA 2011 as Product of the Year - Vehicle/Trailer Mounted, is manufactured in CTE's factory in Bertinoro B-Lift 20.13 MP is a 20m working height machine mounted on a 3.5t truck. It can work in a purely telescopic mode with zero tailswing, but can also overcome obstacles of up to 9 m high. Flexibility is brought about via a mechanism for rotating between the first and second boom There is outrigger control from basket, proportional and simultaneous controls and ground control station, for displaying any machine faults.

The machine generated a lot of interest at the open days and, says CTE, orders are pending from the Italian, German and French markets.

In April the 5000th unit of the ZED 20 CH was produced at the Sequani factory, The articulated truck-mounted platform with Z boom and H stabilisation is said to be popular in both the German and Italian markets

Traccess 170 E is the electric version of the Traccess 170 spider - it is designed to be an environmentally friendly product thanks to its lithium ion batteries that offer a five hours continual working. It can reach a 17 m working height and has a 7.5m outreach, Traccess 170 E works with no gas emission or noise and has a stabilization width of 2.8m.

The B-LIFT 510 HR has recently been taken on a road show across northern Italy. The machine has a 51m working height on a 26t 3-axles vehicle. HR stands for Hi Range, an important engineering project launched some years ago by CTE to target the European and American fire fighting and industrial markets.

Mr Cipriani said, "The opportunity of sharing important moments like these with so many guests interested in our activities and our products it has always been a source of pride for CTE: we put on display our machines, provided technical information and practical tests to show all the CTE product features.

Today [the open days] is the result of the relationship, born many years ago, that we are continually consolidating with Germany with increasing effectiveness, a synergy that is giving us much satisfaction. Our dealer in Dresden Hematec GMBH is for us a precious window on the important German market"
