The Material Handling Equipment Systems (MHS) Shop, a unit of Doosan Heavy Industries Vietnam (Doosan Vina), has delivered eight rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes to a customer in Saudi Arabia.

The cranes, each standing 28 metres tall, 27.6 m long and 5.6 m wide, can lift 40 tonne containers.

It took the company eight months to complete the crane batch ordered by the Saudi Global Ports, one month earlier than the initial plan agreed by both sides while signing their contract.

Doosan Vina earlier manufactured four RTG cranes for Saigon Port in Ho Chi Minh City and Danang Port in the central city of Danang, both in Vietnam.
