Gorman-Rupp is launching a range of electrically powered centrifugal pumps which can be powered by a mains supply, mobile battery pack, conventional generator or even connected to a public car charger.

The E-Line technology is currently available on Gorman-Rupp’s centrifugal pumps up to 3 inches and with a maximum capacity of 70 m3/h.

Gorman-Rupp’s has launched the E-line range of electrically powered centrifugal pumps.

The manufacturer said the range will be ideal for use in urban areas; “When using mobile pump sets, reducing emissions of exhaust gasses and noise is of utmost concern. This is especially the case in urban areas where the disturbance of residents must be kept to a minimum.

“The electric drive emits no harmful exhaust fumes, of course, and its electric drive makes the pump whisper-quiet, helped even more by an additional sound attenuating enclosure.”

In addition to the new E-line, Gorman-Rupp is producing the S-Line of diesel-driven pumps suitable for use with HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) fuel. These fuels can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 89%.
