ERA Future Group met on 26 January

By ERA08 February 2017

The Future Group of ERA, the European Rental Association, met in Brussels in ERA’s office on 26 January.

The Future Group is made of 14 managers issued from younger generations and representing the European rental business. This working group was created one year ago to give the opportunity to young generations to provide their thoughts and vision on strategic issues. The philosophy supporting this approach is that, in this rapidly changing world and the digital revolution, younger people have certainly a different view than older people.

During their last meeting, the Future Group focused on 3 topics:

- the preparation of a guide dedicated to the rental companies to help them choosing the right CRM and implementing it,

- the description of the job positions in the rental companies today but also of the new jobs that will be available in the coming years,

- the mapping of the online platforms impacting the rental business.

The Future Group also worked on the preparation of the next ERA Convention, which will take place in Amsterdam from 2 to 4 May 2017, together with APEX and IRE. The Convention will focus on “How to secure talent for the Future” and the Future Group is directly involved, representing the talent the rental business wants to secure for its Future.

We also encourage all the companies wishing to participate to the Convention to think about registering their HR Director or HR representatives. It will be, for them too, an opportunity to meet and exchange with their peers. And all the Convention participants will benefit from having the HR experts among them.
