European launch for Magni telehandler

Manufacturer Magni has launched a new RTH 5.23 Smart telescopic handler in the European market – a machine developed with rental companies in mind.

The 23 m reach machine is mounted on a smaller chassis than its standard counterpart and features pivoting outriggers instead of telescopic versions.

These changes are said to result in the RTH 5.23 Smart being a more compact machine with a simple and fast stabilisation system – making it well-suited to the rental industry.

The new model also features technology that automatically identifies attachments, which is said to improve worker safety. Other on-board technology includes a pressurised, full visibility, air conditioned cab; 100% air filtration; and a touch-screen interface.

The RTH 5.23 Smart joins a nine-model telehandler range that was launched at the Bauma 2013 construction equipment exhibition.

Magni is a new manufacturer in the telescopic handler market. It was founded in by Ricardo Magni, a long-time president of Manitou’s Italian telehandler joint venture, and made its debut on the market at Bauma 2013.
