Europlatform Financing Growth

The theme for the 2011 Europlatform aerial platform rental conference is Financing Growth. The programme, to be finalised shortly, will cover the ways and means of investing in your business to create the most profit.

Alexandre Saubot the chief operating officer of French access equipment manufacturer, Haulotte will be making the keynote speech. He joins a list of other eminent members of the industry who have given the address in past years including Craig Paylor, the former JLG president, and Tim Ford president of Terex AWP (aerial work platforms).

Also confirmed as a speaker is Kevin Appleton, previously chief executive of the Lavendon Group, who will address the topic of generating sustainable returns in the access rental sector, and in particular will focus on financial measures such as ROCE (return on capital employed), an index much used in general business but not widely in the rental sector.

For the fifth year running Genie has agreed to be one of the major sponsors Phil Graysmark, Terex AWP vice president of sales for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia said, "Europlatform is now a well established event in the access industry calendar. It provides a well balanced programme and a networking opportunity for access professionals."

This year's conference, being held in Maastricht, The Netherlands on 13 September, the day before the start of the APEX exhibition at the same venue the MECC Exhibition and Congress Centre.
