Recycle of Materials (ROM), a Russian construction and demolition waste recycling company, is using a range of Extec equipment including C12+ crushers and I-C13 cones in a renovation project to upgrade Pulkovo airport near St. Petersburg.

ROM's first major project back in 2000 was the demolition of runways at Moscow's Domodedovo international airport where the company processed more than 20000 m3 of concrete. ROM then conducted similar renovation works at Moscow's Vnukovo airport in 2003 and 2004.

"It is inevitable that the need for demolition and recycling will continue to grow across the whole of Russia," said Andrey Protopopov, founder of ROM. "With our range of Extec cones, crushers and track-mounted mobile screens we're ideally placed to exploit the potential market," concluded Mr Protopopov.
