Felleiter buys Tadano Faun all terrain

German crane rental firm Felleiter has expanded its fleet with the purchase of an ATF 70G-4 all terrain crane from mobile crane manufacturer Tadano Faun. The crane is the second ATF 70G-4 in the company’s fleet and joins two other Tadano all terrain cranes: an ATF 30-2L and an ATF 110G-5.
The ATF 70G-4 has a 44 metre main boom and will be deployed on jobs within a 100 mile radius of the company’s base.
According to Tadano Faun, Felleiter uses the existing crane for a wide range of lifting applications and even takes on jobs that other companies do not want. “The ATF 70 is quite flexible,” explained Klaus Felleiter, manging director of the company. “Wherever a two-axle crane can go, it goes, too. And it has excellent lifting capacities. As we are receiving orders with ever-increasing dimensions, a second ATF 70 in the taxi version is just the right thing for us.
“For us, the 70-ton crane is something like a universal unit. We are able to take along a lot of accessories, are ready to work immediately, and easily meet the 10 tonne maximum limits for the axle loads.”
The first job the new crane carried out was to lift a belt conveyor into a stone breaking plant.
