Crane hire and heavy transport company Houmani take delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1040-2.1

Crane rental and heavy transport company Houmani, based in Beirut, Lebanon, has taken delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1040-2.1. It is the first new all terrain in the country.

The two-axle all terrain wheeled mobile telescopic crane has a capacity of 40 tonnes at 2.7 metres radius. It has a four-section boom with a maximum outreach of 35 m. Total counterweight is 6.5 tonnes. Power comes from a 210 kW, 6-cylinder Daimler-Benz turbo-diesel engine.

Commenting on the purchase, a spokesperson from Houmani said that the LTM 1040-2.1 was chosen because of its ability to carry out jobs in the narrow streets of Beirut.

Houmani has 17 Liebherr cranes in its fleet, including 12 mobile units. The company said it also plans to purchase a 100 tonne capacity LTM 1100-4.2 all terrain.
