Focus on Turkey

The Wirtgen Group is establishing a new subsidiary in Turkey's capital city, Ankara, in order to serve the requirements of the country's growing road construction market.

The new base includes a sales and service centre, workshop, parts store and washing facilities.

Dieter Majer, the new subsidiary's managing director, said the aim in Turkey is to initially focus on selling Wirtgen, Vögele and Hamm products. Many of the Wirtgen Group's key account customers are based in the Ankara region.

"Being close to our customers was one of the main reasons for our choice of location," Mr Majer said.
