A GGR Starworker 1200 trailer crane has been used to install a dome made of fibreglass for the launch of a new games console in London’s Leicester Square, UK.

The Starworker 1200 trailer crane was fitted with a MRT4 vacuum lifter and curved suction pads to lift the fibreglass panels into place. The largest of the panels weighed 80 kg and measured 1.5 metres wide. In total 56 panels were installed to crate the 12 metre high structure.

The 1,200 kg capacity trailer crane was configured with a 9 metre long fly jib and extra extension. In total the crane had a reach of 22.5 metres.

The dome took four days to construct. Once the event was over GGR returned to Leicester Square to dismantle the structure, which took one day to complete.
