Gas storage compound

A new solution is available for the safe storage of industrial gases on construction sites. Designed by BOC in the UK, the 3 m compound is a container-like structure to store acetylene, argon and other compressed gases used in metal fabrication.

Adapted sea containers are often used for this application but, unlike them, the portable BOC compound prevents the build up of potentially hazardous leaked gas. In the BOC design air is allowed to circulate inside so any leaks are dissipated safely to the atmosphere.

Inside the compound are pens for restraining the gas cylinders upright, lighting to Zone 2C and it has anti-theft features. The unit can be transported and delivered on a truck with a hydraulic loader crane.
