The New Delhi Police headquarters has a new look. The building’s wall now boasts the largest mural of Mahatma Gandhi in India.

The portrait, spread over a gigantic 150 ft x 38 ft wall, has been painted by German graffiti artist Hendrik Beikirch, along with Delhi-based artist Anpu. The mural was part of a larger street art festival that took place in the capital and was finished on 30 January, the anniversary of Gandhi’s death.

"The painting called for the artists to work at elevated heights and to do this they used our Genie S-125 telescopic boom. It enabled the painters to work safely and create a landmark in India’s capital," said a Genie spokesperson.
