GenSet + Mase

19 March 2008

Pictured is the new MPN16-400SSP engine-driven welding set from Italy's GenSet, featuring a Perkins engine and extremely low sound levels-93 db(A) at 7 m.

GenSet was acquired by fellow Italian engine manufacturer Mase at the end of 2005. Mase focuses on industrial and marine gensets while GenSet makes industrial generators and welding sets.

Mase and GenSet vice president, Dino Salvemini said the two brands would continue to be used, with Mase focusing on diesel gensets from 20 to 200 kW and GenSet producing small petrol driven generators and larger diesel models, as well as its welding units. He told IRN that the combined Mase and GenSet business will have a “strong” offering for rental companies.
