Global construction equipment industry to gather in Shanghai

The last Bauma China exhibition in 2012 broke all records for the event, attracting 2,718 exhibitors from 38 countries and taking up 300,000 m2 of exhibition space. Visitor numbers came in at 177,080 visitors, with people descending on the New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) from 141 countries.

And the 2014 event, which takes place from November 25 to 28, also looks set to be a sell-out, with all of the 200,000 m2 of indoor exhibition space, and 100,000 m2 of outdoor space at SNIEC being taken.

Show organiser Messe München International (MMI) said nearly 3,000 exhibitors from about 40 countries were expected to showcase their latest products at this year’s show to almost 200,000 visitors from 150 countries and regions.

China represents a key market for many international players as well as domestic manufacturers, and as the biggest construction equipment exhibition not only in China, but Asia as a whole, he Bauma China is will see numerous new machines launched for local, regional and worldwide markets.
