Jason Taylor, Manager of the Scotland-based rental firm, said, “We chose JCB for this order as we have a long history over the years with the products that it manufactures and thanks to the support and back-up that our dealer Scot JCB provides throughout Scotland. We have identified that they are the machines that work best for our business and customers alike.”

The rental company ordered the construction equipment – including JCB’s flagship 540-200 Loadall telescopic handler – from dealer Scot JCB.

In addition to the 20m JCB 540-200 Loadall, Scot JCB will supply Gordon Bow with a number of JCB tracked excavators. These include the 20 tonne JCB 220X and the 14 tonne JCB 140X models.

The models will be added to Gordon Bow’s existing JCB fleet, which already numbers 60 JCB machines. According to JCB, the new machines will be used on housebuilding, infrastructure, forestry and agricultural projects across Scotland.

Gordon Bow Plant Hire, which has been in operation for almost 40 years, is a family-run business that provides construction equipment rental services across Scotland.
