International Mobile Cranes (IMC) in Germany has acquired 30 used cranes from Austria-based crane and transport service provider Prangl.

The value of the used cranes from Prangl’s fleet is approximately €5 million (US$ 5.4 million). IMC has received approximately 70 % of the used machines and re-sold them to companies abroad, a company spokesperson said.

IMC has been involved in buying and selling used cranes for several years. The deal was sealed as Prangl was renewing part of its fleet with 40 new cranes. The new models ranged in capacity from 40 to 1,000 tonnes.
