International Construction September podcast

The podcast to accompany the September edition of International Construction includes a discussion of the news that CEOs of major Brazilian contractors OAS and Camargo Corrêa have been convicted of bribery and money laundering following the Operation Lava Jato (Operation Carwash) investigation into corruption at Brazilian state oil company Petrobras.

In business news we look HeidelbergCement’s plans to acquire Italcementi – another major merger in the cement and aggregates sector which came just days after Lafarge and Holcim said their merger was complete.

Also included in this month’s podcast is a look our regional report on the Southern African construction market, which is feeling an impact from low global commodity prices.

We also discuss this month’s feature on high-rise construction, and some of the trends which are driving skyscrapers higher and higer.
