The CAWPE access exhibition held in Shanghai this week has, according to IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) been well attended.

IPAF says that it received strong interest from visitors and exhibitors in all aspects of safe operation of MEWPs. Raymond Wat from IPAF's Singapore office made a presentation in Mandarin about IPAF at the associated conference. Delegates learned about campaigns such as the Clunk Click campaign on safety harnesses and were made aware of safety guidance available on IPAF's web site.

The exhibition area was around 1200sqm and although advertised as an access exhibition most of the exhibitors were reported to be safety harnesses, tools, parts and so on. There were around 15 access manufactures including Haulotte, JLG, Manitou, Skyjack and XCMG alongside some much smaller companies.
