Socage is delivering a DA328 articulated truck mount to the Italian Army

The Italian Army has tested a Socage DA328 articulated truck mount at the manufacturer’s production facility ahead of its delivery to the country's Ministry of Transport.

The order came through truck producer Iveco, which won the contract to supply the 5.6 tonne truck with a mounted platform to the Italian Army.

According to Socage, one of the main advantages of the DA328 is its compactness. It has a maximum working height of 28 m and a maximum working outreach of 16 m, with a safe working load of 225 kg. The machine also provides continuous rotation.

The operator can partially or fully deploy the outriggers thanks to the machine’s stabilisation system, which allows the cross-beams to be used on one side if necessary. Socage added that the system was particularly useful in busy urban areas.
