Jekko launches big mini

Italian manufacturer Jekko has launched what it claims as the largest mini crane in its segment able to fit through a standard single doorway.
The new SPX532 mini crane is a tracked model measuring 3,255 x 770 x 1,960 mm
With a maximum lifting height of 17.3 metres and a reach of 14.8 metres, its hydraulic jib can lift up to 3.2 tonnes and slew 360 degrees continuously.
Alberto Franceschini, Jekko export manager, said, “The SPX532 signals a very important change in direction in the design and creation of new products, which will inevitably impact on the development of future products. Machines that are not only innovative and sophisticated as they were in the past, but also easy to use and available to an increasingly wide customer base.”
The model comes with a diesel engine combined with either a single- or three-phase electric motor. Alternatively, an “environmentally friendly” lithium battery version is also available.
According to Jekko, the machine’s biggest new feature is its ability to lift using both the hookblock and hoist method. It’s resting jib can also be stored in three different ways and allows for simultaneous use of both the extension and angle functions, to give the operator more working flexibility.
As part of a project to update the entire range, Diego Tomasella, Jekko CEO, said that the SPX532 would be “the most high-performing single door machine on the market.”
The SPX532 also features the company’s J-Connect telematics system and an updated stability system, which allows each outrigger to adjust its angle and to slew 90 degrees, giving operators increased stabilisation and work areas.
