Northern Ireland rental company KDM Hire has launched a new temperature control rental division called K Therm, specialising in renting heaters, dryers and cooling equipment.

The new business is the latest specialist rental division from the company, which already operates K Power, K Cabin, K Lift and K Loo. The company won the Small Rental Company of the Year award at the 2008 European Rental Association/IRN rental awards last summer.

Keith McIvor, KDM's managing director, said; "With the increasing unpredictability of our seasons and weather conditions, the need for proper climate control equipment is essential. With K Therm we intend to offer a professional hire service to a cross-section of customers including the construction sector, events industry, local government or even those who have had the misfortune of flood damage. This product range also fits neatly with our generator hire division K Power."

KDM said applications for the division will range from heating a small room or marquee to lowering the relative humidity of a large warehouse. Products in the fleet will encompass electric, gas and oil fired heaters, refrigerant and desiccant dehumidifiers, air conditioning equipment, cooling fans and ventilation fans.

The company, which has two depots in Mallusk and Cookstown, said it will offer technical advice as well as installation and monitoring services.
