Since introducing a virtual hire platform for its customers in Australia and New Zealand, rental company Kennards Hire said almost 60% of online hire bookings were being made through a mobile device.

It said its new online platform offered customers the convenience to order tools and equipment for hire 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including access to all 3600 products in its fleet.

Bill Whitehouse, Kennards Hire acting CEO, said, “We know that unexpected jobs can pop up onsite at any time. Our customers need to be able to place an order at any time of the day or night and be confident they can collect their tools or equipment at their local store or have it delivered at their convenience. Essentially it’s a virtual branch at their fingertips.”

The Kennards Hire website is backed by the customer service of its 161 branches across Australia and New Zealand.
