Weighing from between 22.1 to 23.6 tonnes depending on configuration, Komatsu’s latest generation PC210LC-11 is said to offer up to 6% improved fuel efficiency, an upgraded cab design and enhanced safety and serviceability. According to the company, the result is maximised productivity and reduced operating costs.
Komatsu’s new EU Stage IV engine integrates SCR to further reduce NOx emissions using the AdBlue® additive. With an advanced electronic control system that manages the airflow rate, fuel injection, combustion parameters and aftertreatment functions, the Komatsu EU Stage IV engine optimises performance, reduces emissions and provides advanced diagnostic capability. Komatsu says that it customers benefit from lower fuel consumption with no loss of performance. A Komatsu Variable Geometry Turbocharger (KVGT) and an Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve are used for precise temperature and air management control and for longer component life.
The PC210/LC-11 features a heavy-duty undercarriage and maintains the same high lift capacity and lateral stability as the prior PC210 model. The operator can easily select Lift Mode to raise hydraulic pressure and increase lifting force by up to 7%.
The PC210/LC-11 provides easier service access to help reduce costly downtime, with guardrails on both sides of the upper structure for easier accessibility. The radiator and hydraulic oil coolers are mounted side by side, making it easier to maintain and service when required. It comes as standard with Komatsu’s exclusive Komatsu EMMS (Equipment Management Monitoring System) and KOMTRAX data management system.
