Komatsu's new Stage IV dozer

12 November 2014

Komatsu Europe has introduced a new crawler dozer in the shape of the D155AX-8 crawler dozer weighing in at between 38 and 43 tonnes, depending on configuration. Power for the new machine comes from a Stage IV certified Komatsu SAA6D140E-7 diesel delivering 264 kW (354 hp).

The machine is fitted with the latest version of the company’s Komtrax remote monitoring system to provide access to a wide range of performance and other machine-specific data that can be accessed by either the Internet or by smart phone. It also comes with the coompany's Care maintenance package that covers the machine for the first three years or 2,000 hours.

The D155AX-8's Sigmadozer blade has a capacity of 9.4 cubic metres (332 cubic feet) and offers 15% greater productivity than a traditional semi-u blade, claims the company.
