Modular scaffold system manufacturer Layher has appointed Andrew Lawson as area sales manager for Scotland and Ireland.

Based at Layher’s Livingston premises, he is overseeing the supply of Layher’s range of scaffolding, temporary roofing and weather protection systems in the two regions.

“I am delighted to be able to join the company at this time particularly as there are excellent opportunities to work with existing and potential customers in both the Scottish and Irish markets – not only in the construction sector, but also in specialist fields such as the oil industry,” said Mr Lawson.

He added that there was also an opportunity to develop training and demonstration areas at the Livingstone site.

Mr Lawson has considerable experience in the construction industry in both sales and marketing, said Layer’s UK managing director Sean Pike. “We have long been committed to enhancing the benefits of our equipment via accessible and capable support services, and we are certain that Andrew will be able to contribute significant experience and skills in this regard for customers throughout Scotland and Ireland,” added Mr Pike.
