Spider lift manufacturer Leguan Lifts, based in Finland, has entered the Italian market with its first distributor in the country Avant Tecno Itali.

The company will take charge of Leguan sales and after sales in Italy and bring a fresh boost to the brand in the country, said Leguan.

Hugues Lambert, export sales manager of Leguan Lifts, commented, “Since Avant Tecno Italia has been selling for close to three decades in Italy, it is a natural move for Leguan to start collaborating with Emo Colopristi and his team.

“It is now a perfect opportunity to set foot in the Italian peninsula and develop together awareness of Leguan as a brand and introduce a very different type of spider lift that operators are used to in the tree care and building construction and renovation industry.”

Leguan spider lifts are designed to be user friendly and offer intuitive features with smart technology and all-terrainability, especially for outdoor jobs.

“Avant Italia is honored to represent the Leguan brand and will try to make it grow as it has done for the Avant brand in recent years,” said Emo Colopristi, CEO of Avant Tecno Italia.

The new agreement follows Leguan Lifts’ ongoing expansion of its manufacturing facilities, first started in 2020, with the aim to increase capacity with new equipment and drive more sales internationally. Last year Leguan announced two new distributorships in Switzerland and Slovakia

According to the manufacturer it has experienced unprecedented sales growth in the years since 2020. This, it said, was due to a growing demand for spider lifts designed especially for all-terrain work and challenging job sites.

“Our customers are looking for solutions that allow them to work both efficiently and safely on aerial work sites related to e.g., tree care, renovation, installation work and construction, said Jori Mylläri, VP sales and marketing at Leguan Lifts. He added that spider lifts were a more efficient solution i these environments compared to many traditional ways of carrying work at height.
