The CBG 360 four-rope grab crane is a new model in Liebherr’s maritime range. It is designed for high speed bulk handling and replaces the CBG 350.

Capacity is 60 tonnes in hook operation and 48 tonnes with a grab. Boom length options are between 26 and 36 metres. An additional platform can increase outreach by 12 m.

Housing the hydraulic and mechanical components in a dustproof machinery house helps the crane resist bad weather and other harsh environments. The wiches are rated for continuous operation and they have one safety winding which has a positive effect on the service life of the ropes, Liebherr said.

For easier maintenance more access platforms have been added on the slewing column and boom. The Liebherr Litronic control system automatically monitors the crane’s heel and trim and calculates an emergency programme in critical situations, the manufacturer said. It means the crane operate in open sea or sheltered water.
