John Deere Power Systems has won the Manitou Group’s award for best engineering performance.

The award was one of only eight in total given by the French access company at its latest convention of 140 key suppliers.

It recognises the technical competency of the project team responsible for integrating the Stage 4/Tier 4 engine into the MLT 840 and MLT 1040 telescopic handlers, equipped with PowerTech 4.5L engines available as 86 or 102 kW (115 or 137 hp) versions.

Manitou’s citation said John Deere’s ability to listen and understand customer needs was a factor in the company winning the award, together smooth project development and a relationship built on transparency and trust.

“We consider our ability to help customers integrate our engine as a key element that differentiates us from our competitors,” said Celine Chapuis, applications engineer and project manager.

“Our priority is to make sure our customers’ projects are executed flawlessly and we are always looking to stand out due to the skill and hard work that our teams invest into these projects.

“We are especially proud of this award from such a prestigious customer.”
