Earthworks For a New Industrial Park in Ireland are Being Fast Tracked through use of two Case 330 ADTs. Local contractor Brian O'Connell is using the machines to move over 20000 m³ of earth for the first phase of development at Shannon Airport Free Zone Industrial Park.

Most of the space in the four five-storey buildings has already been leased placing O'Connell is under pressure to keep the work on schedule. The sloped site is being re-profiled using balanced cut and fill and the building are being constructed into the hillside with two floors below ground level.

The ADTs are being loaded with a Case CX330 excavator before they haul the material over slopes of up to 7°. O'Connell took delivery of the ADTs last year and they have now completed over 1600 hours of operation without any major problems.
