Earthworks For a New Industrial Park in Ireland are Being Fast Tracked through use of two Case 330 ADTs. Local contractor Brian O'Connell is using the machines to move over 20000 m3 of earth for the first phase of development at Shannon Airport Free Zone Industrial Park.

Most of the space in the four five-storey buildings has already been leased placing O'Connell is under pressure to keep the work on schedule. The sloped site is being re-profiled using balanced cut and fill and the building are being constructed into the hillside with two floors below ground level.

The ADTs are being loaded with a Case CX330 excavator before they haul the material over slopes of up to 7°. O'Connell took delivery of the ADTs last year and they have now completed over 1600 hours of operation without any major problems.
