Screening and crushing specialist McCloskey International is to open a Manufacturing Centre of Excellence in the United Kingdom.

The new building, in Dungannon, Northern Ireland, covers 11,000 sq m (120,000 sq ft) and represents a £7 million (US$9 million investment) as the aims to increase production by 50% in the next three years.

As well as providing extra capacity for the McCloskey range, the site will house production for the new McCloskey Washing Systems business division. The opening follows two new parts hubs and the acquisition of Wisconsin, US-based Milwaukee Crusher.

"Accelerating sales of our equipment show that the quality, reliability and durability of McCloskey products is increasingly recognised around the world, and important to our customers," said John O'Neill, vice president sales.

"As important for McCloskey is the relationship after the deal is done, and the opening of facilities to continue to support our customers with parts and service allows us to provide both quickly and effectively."
