Rental software company MCS has opened a new office in Sweden to support its Swedish customers and to act as a regional office for the Nordic market.

The company has also appointed a new salesperson, Jenny Ferrar, who will be responsible for business development in the region. Ms Ferrar's career includes stints in Nordic area sales for Remedy Interactive, a risk management software specialist, and Right Now Technologies, which sells customer management services.

The office is based in Solna, just north of Stockholm. MCS said the office would give customers in the region direct access to MCS services and support. Its customers include TLM i Linköping, a renter of powered access, scaffolding and machinery.

MCS chief executive officer, Richard van der Knaap, said the new opening demonstrated its commitment to supporting customers; "We can give them direct access to hire and rental knowledge, experience and products that will help them to build a flexible, competitive and profitable business."

The UK-based company has installed over 375 systems in 14 countries and has partners in the Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, France, Spain and South Africa.
