Both Beamish and Rytsölä have informed the company that they are not available for re-election, and will stand down at the end of term.

Metso said it has proposed Matts Rosenberg and Petra Sundström as new Board members. Rosenberg is the current CEO of Finland-based holding company Solidium, a wholly owned by the State of Finland.

Sundström is the Managing Director of TRATON Charging Solutions, subsidiary of TRATON Group and sister company of commercial vehicle manufacturers Scania and MAN.

Meanwhile, Klaus Cawén, Terhi Koipijärvi, Niko Pakalén, Kari Stadigh, Anders Svensson, Eriikka Söderström, and Arja Talma all proposed for re-election.

The company also announced that it has proposed Kari Stadigh be re-elected as Chair of the Board and Klaus Cawén as Vice Chair.

The announcment is the latest strategic change within the business. In August it announced a strategic review of its loading and hauling operations in Finland and Sweden, with the primary objective of divesting the business to an external buyer.
