More than 40 submissions for European Rental Awards

More than 40 entries have been received for the European Rental Awards including submissions for the new product of the year, large and small rental company of the year, and rental person of the year categories.

Entries have been received from companies all over Europe, including France, Sweden, Denmark, Russia, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. The awards are organised by the European Rental Association and International Rental News magazine.

The judging meeting will be held in Paris on 12 March and the shortlists will be published online at www.khl.com shortly after the meeting.

The judging panel is as follows:

Gérard Déprez, CEO, Loxam (France)

Jürgen Küspert, Managing Director, BBI (Bundesverband der Baumaschinen-, Baugeräte- und Industriemaschinen-Firmen) (Germany)

Jean-Marie Osdoit, President/CEO, Volvo Construction Equipment France (France)

Kevin Parkes, CEO, Hewden (UK)

Murray Pollok, Editor, International Rental News (IRN)

The ERA secretary general, Michel Petitjean, will be a non-voting chairman of the judges.

The award winners will be announced at a special dinner on 15 May in Paris during the ERA’s annual convention. Delegates can reserve their places at the convention and the dinner at the ERA’s website: www.erarental.org

The full list of awards categories is:

• Large Rental Company of the Year (turnover over €15 million)

• Small/Mid-sized Rental Company of the Year (turnover under €15 million)

• Rental Product of the Year (for product launched during 2011)

• Rental Person of the Year

• Lifetime Achievement Award.
