Mustang has added a fourth zero tail swing compact excavator to its range in the shape of the 5,886 lb (2.6 tonne) 2803ZT that offers a 7.9 ft (2.4 m) maximum dig depth and is powered by a Tier 3 compliant 24 hp (18 kW) diesel. The machine comes with a canopy as standard, but an optional cab is available that the company claims is one of the largest in its class.

Stability has been enhanced through the use of a longer undercarriage and an optional counterweight to create an even more stable machine, says Mustang

The engine is side mounted and the hydraulics and fuel tank are mounted at the rear of the machine to provide easy access to all service points. It offers two driving speeds and control is through pilot operated pedals.

The 2803ZT is light enough to be transported by trailer.
