NDA opens up Awards and scholarships

The NDA has opened up for entries for its Awards and scholarships, with resulting successful entrants being announced at its Annual Convention in Nashville at the end of March.

With a closing date of January 23, 2015, Environmental Excellence Awards are given each year to member companies that have made a significant "quality of life" impact on their community. NDA members are selected for recognition for leadership and innovation in “green” development and for efforts to better their local and regional environment.

With a closing date of December 31, the Lifetime Achievement Award is made to a member selected for his or her exceptional service to the Association and the industry. The award honours members of the Association for their leadership and commitment to the NDA’s organisational vision and mission, and pays tribute to the individual’s commitment to the betterment of their community, the company they worked for and the demolition Industry as a whole

The scholarships available from the NDA have a closing date for applications of January 9, 2015. A total of six scholarships are awarded to owners, employees, or an immediate family members of Regular Members and provide support in the advancement of careers through continuing education opportunities. These are: the Bill and Wanda Baker Scholarship, the National Demolition Association Scholarship, the Patrick H. O’Rourke Scholarship, the Sims Adams Scholarship, the Southern California Chapter Scholarship and the David P Sinclair International Scholarship.
