Ireland-based Crane Hire Limited has added a new 700 tonne capacity Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 wheeled mobile telescopic crane.

The eight axle model has an 80 metre boom and a 21 to 91 metre luffing jib for a maximum hook height of 151 metres. It also has the Y-guy capacity enhancement system which helps when making lifts out to the 112 metre maximum radius. Other features are the VarioBase outrigger placement function and the VarioBallast system to maximum performance.

Power is from a Euro Stage V diesel engine with the ECOdrive and ECOmode systems to help reduce fuel consumption, noise and exhaust emissions.

Jarlath O Leary, Crane Hire Limited managing director, said, “This investment in the latest, most innovative technology is evidence of our commitment to providing our customers with the very best cranes and service in the industry. It is just one investment with Liebherr in ongoing fleet expansion and renewal planned out to 2024 with over €34,000,000 in spend.”

CHL operates from depots in Dublin and Cork. It offers standard crane hire and contract lifting services. The company’s fleet also includes other Liebherr cranes.
