New European JLG parts centre

19 March 2008

JLG is to build a 4000 m2 parts distribution centre near its factory in Maasmechelen, Belgium. The facility will serve all of Europe and is scheduled to be fully operational by January 2008.

Parts distribution will be relocated from the Maasmechelen facility, freeing up space for additional production of JLG aerial platforms and JLG and Caterpillar telehandlers.

Peter Bonafede, JLG's senior vice–president of manufacturing and global supply chain, said, “As our European customer base grows, and we continue to forecast sales increases in Europe, we recognize there will be a growing need for additional space to support parts distribution.”

The warehouse will be the responsibility of Erik Goeleven, JLG's distribution manager. Maasmechelen is JLG's manufacturing base in Europe.
