New Makita centre in London

Makita UK has opened a new factory service centre in the borough of Hounslow, London, UK.
This is the third such centre that the UK arm of Japanese power tool manufacturer Makita has opened in the UK. It joins Makita UK’s headquarter facility in Milton Keynes, which serves the whole country, and the company’s Glasgow facility, which supports business activities in Scotland and northern England. The new centre will primarily service the London and South East region.
The latest addition is intended to improved national coverage for the benefit of customers, as well as Makita’s network of distributors.
The facilities provide technical repairs and maintenance services for all mains and cordless tools, as well as the firm’s expanding range of grounds care tools.
Makita also offers product training through its service centres to ensure that both authorised distributors and operators are fully conversant with the power tools they own so that they can achieve the best performance safely.
The Glasgow centre in particular offers product training across Makita’s complete range of products.
Tony Coleman, Technical Manager at Makita UK, said, “We are already receiving a very warm welcome from all sectors of the power tool industry in this heavily populated area of west London. If demand becomes similar to that we’ve established in Glasgow and Milton Keynes, we will be looking for additional training personnel.”
