Two new sizes of Mitas CR-01 crane tyres are being released. The 385/95R25 CR-01 170F TL and 525/80R25 CR-01 176F TL are designed for speeds up to 80 km/h (for the 385/95R25) and 90 km/h (for the 525/80R25). Maximum operational load capacity of the 525/80R25 CR-01 is 17,750 kg and 7,100 kg at 80 km/h under 7 bar inflation pressure.

“New sizes of CR-01 crane tyres are now ready for shipment to our customers,” said Andrew Mabin, Mitas marketing and sales director. “Mitas CR-01 is a durable and reliable tyre. It handles the weight of the crane and the load.”

All Mitas CR-01 tyres have Mitas-Link, a connection between tread blocks to increase tyre life while limiting tread movement, even at speeds up to 90 km/h, the manufacturer said. The links also reduce noise by blocking the sound generated within the tyre tread.

The 525/80R25 CR-01 has a 28 mm deep tread pattern and can be re-treaded. In comparison with a standard mobile crane tyre, there is 6 % lower rolling resistance, Mitas said, which improves fuel efficiency.

Available sizes are: 525/80R25 CR-01, 445/95R25 CR-01 and 385/95R25 CR-01. Mitas delivers its CR-01 tyres to major crane manufacturers, including Liebherr and Manitowoc.
