Kenneth Nilsson has been appointed as the new head of Swedish contractor NCC’s infrastructure business area and will become a member of the executive management team.
Nilsson joins NCC from another Swedish company, Skanska, where he most recently served as the head of Skanska Civil East in the US.
He will take up his new position in April 2018, replacing acting business area manager Göran Landgren.
Nilsson has held senior managerial roles at Skanska’s Swedish, Finnish and Estonian operations.
Håkan Broman, NCC’s acting president and CEO, said, “Kenneth Nilsson has successfully turned loss-making operations at Skanska into a profit-making business. He is also highly respected as a manager and I am convinced that he will make a valuable contribution to the development of the entire company.”
Nilsson said, “With my previous experience primarily in civil engineering, as well as construction, I hope that I can contribute to creating a successful, Nordic civil engineering business focused on customers.”
